Start your own volunteering project

All of our student-led volunteering projects start with a passionate student and a great idea! If you want to make an impact on the Sheffield community and develop your leadership and project management skills at the same time then leading a project could be the perfect thing for you.

Projects come in all shapes and sizes, from one-off events to year-long interventions. Sheffield Volunteering can provide all the support you need to plan and deliver your activities, including training and mentoring, resources and budget and help to recruit your volunteers.

You can propose a project via this form, which will then be assessed by our project proposal panel. If you want discuss your idea with a member of staff before you apply, pop in to the Volunteering Office and we will be happy to help! You can find us in the activities zone of your students’ union from 10 – 5, Monday to Friday.
