Would you like a break from revision and studying? Want to do something fun with friends? Join a one-off volunteering activity with other students and Give Volunteering A Go!

At each of the GIAG taster sessions you can try something new, see more of the city and gain new skills. There are a range of one-off activities in May and June (these are in-person volunteering roles with local charitable organisations, organised by Sheffield Volunteering)

How do I sign up?

Search 'GIAG' on this webpage or follow the links below.

Help at S6 Foodbank Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout June

Knit and Natter for Age UK Sheffield Tuesday 22nd June

Garden Team at Sheffield Manor Lodge Tuesday 22nd June or Tuesday 6th July

Click on a role, read the details, and click on the green button "Apply Now" or "Click here to set up your volunteer profile" (you will need to be registered as a volunteer but that only takes a couple of minutes to do! You will then need to go back to the role and click "Apply Now")

Once you have applied, you will receive an email with a link to a Google Form - please fill this in to let us know which session you wish to book onto. A few days before the session, we will send you an email with the full details! (If you have any issues, just get in touch with us volunteering@sheffield.ac.uk)

Volunteering is a fantastic way to gain new experiences, give back to local communities, learn new skills and do something different that is worthwhile. It also helps you explore possible career paths and boost your CV! All community volunteering is free, and if you're undergraduate student, it can go on your HEAR (must be applied for).
