We are a small charity which was started in 1980 to help on work and health issues. We now run the cities job retention services including mental and physical health and working carers. We are advice service which provides advice for people who think that their work is affecting their health.

Social media volunteer

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

SOHAS is looking for a volunteer who can help improve our social media presence via our website, twitter, Facebook and blog.

We have started to produce a number of videos that are aimed at people who may need our service and the people who refer people to ur service.

We are looking for someone who can help script and produce the videos along side SOHAS advisers.

We also want to increase the number of posts we make on all on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin

We are in the process of building a new website which will alows us to be more proactive on how we promote the organisation.

We will be promoting a number of national including including world sleep day and the international day of happiness which are both in March along with days on mental and physical health days

 

 

What skills do I need?

Knowledge of how to use social media to increase awareness of our advice services

What will I gain?

Knowledge of producing short video's and finding the most effective way of using social media to increase awareness of services

Training and support

Yo uwill be given an induction which includes health and safety, how the organisation works and meet with the SOHAS staff at regualr meetings You will be supervised by the SOHAS manager and work alongside adviswers to do this work. We can provide help and advice on work and health issues and provide access to an experienced vocational guidance worker
