To devise, manage and oversee the marketing and social media strategy, preparing and distributing press releases, managing press on event days and preparing a short final report to assist with future development. This will help promote the activities of the Sheffield carnival as well as the partners and sponsors that are involved. Volunteers will develop their skills and real life experience working with a non profit charitable organisation.
What skills do I need?
Excellent verbal and written skills, excellent planning skills, innovative and good awareness of marketing, PR and social media trends, self starter and able to work on own initiative, excellent negotiation skills and persuasive, creative thinker, confident, flexible and adaptable and a team player
What will I gain?
You will gain real world experience assisting a charitable non profit organisation provide events and activities for children and families and helping to support your local community. Boosting your CV with a reference of the support you have given and the opportunity to develop your skills and meet new people.
Training and support
You will receive support and guidance from the lead Director in marketing and Marketing Manager.
