Sheffield On A Plate School Volunteer 2018/19

This opportunity takes place between 17 Sep 2018 and 19 May 2019.

Educate young people about food waste and sustainability. SOAP volunteers work as a team to facilitate workshops in local primary schools (8-9 year olds). Sessions focus on food waste and sustainability - engaging young people through a variety of interactive games and activities.

What skills do I need?

No previous experience necessary, just a passion for sustainability and an interest in working with young people and children of various ages. Full training provided by Project Leaders.

What will I gain?

Experience of working with children and young people.

Training and support

Full training provided by the Project Leaders. Training is Wednesday 20th February 2019, 1pm - 2pm, Students' Union.

Time commitment

Sessions run on various days/times depending on school/youth group requests. Commitment is flexible - you can do one session or multiple sessions.

Travel time depends on school location (volunteers will travel in a group either by public transport or taxi from the SU).
