Sheffield Volunteering run project providing a fun activity club for young children with disabilities and their siblings.

Saturday Playgroup Volunteer 2018/19

This opportunity takes place between 17 Sep 2018 and 19 May 2019.

The Playgroup is for Children aged 3-9 who have a disability and their siblings. Volunteers give one to one support to the children.

What skills do I need?

Enthusiasm and Patience

What will I gain?

Experience of working with children with disabilities in a supportive environment. Volunteers will receive free training on safeguarding, working with children with disabilities and behaviour management.

Training and support

Volunteers must attend training on either Saturday 6th October or Saturday 20th October (all day) and complete online safeguarding training.

Time commitment

Sessions run from 10 am to 2pm on Saturdays during term time. Volunteers need to attend every other Saturday.
