Do you enjoy meeting people? You'll help set up, greet guests as they arrive, serve on the tea bar & wash mugs, chat with guests, help serve hot meals and help to clear up. Our sessions usually end at 4pm.
What skills do I need?
An ability to actively listen is appreciated when talking with our guests but don't worry if you don't feel that you have strong 'people skills' as our sessions are very relaxed and our guests are friendly.
No previous experience or specific skills are required for you to volunteer with us.
What will I gain?
This is ideal for anyone seeking to become involved with an organisation that directly benefits the Sheffield community or who wishes to learn more about homelessness and related social issues. Other benefits include social interaction, improved team-working skills and active listening skills.
Training and support
All relevant training and information will be provided on site. All volunteers are fully supported by existing experienced volunteers.
Volunteers to arrive at 12:30 to help set up; we are usually all tidied away by 4pm.
