Activity Volunteers encourage social inclusion and integration by facilitating community activities and providing childcare. Through this they enable clients to engage with fun activities such as sewing and empower them to learn new skills and make friends.
What skills do I need?
We look for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children and working with vulnerable people, refugees and asylum seekers. Childcare can vary dependent on different counselling appointments, but there are regular opportunities through the community activities. We also provide DBS checks
What will I gain?
You will gain experience of working with children and vulnerable adults in the community to boost their confidence.
Training and support
Training will be provided by professionals through a three-hour session, which will give you a good foundation for working with survivors of human trafficking.
Supervision and support given as and when needed.
This is a flexible role but we say on average requires 2 hours each week.
DBS (criminal records) check
We are based in the city centre and will reimburse your travel expenses to the office when you show your ticket.
