The Snowdrop Project logo

We are the first charity in the UK to provide long-term support for survivors of human trafficking.

Activities Volunteer

This opportunity takes place from 14 Mar 2018. Applications closed on 02 Mar.

Activity Volunteers encourage social inclusion and integration by facilitating community activities and providing childcare. Through this they enable clients to engage with fun activities such as sewing and empower them to learn new skills and make friends.

What skills do I need?

We look for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children and working with vulnerable people, refugees and asylum seekers. Childcare can vary dependent on different counselling appointments, but there are regular opportunities through the community activities. We also provide DBS checks

What will I gain?

You will gain experience of working with children and vulnerable adults in the community to boost their confidence.

Training and support

Training will be provided by professionals through a three-hour session, which will give you a good foundation for working with survivors of human trafficking. Supervision and support given as and when needed.

Time commitment

This is a flexible role but we say on average requires 2 hours each week.
