This opportunity takes place between 24 Dec 2019 and 01 Jan 2020.

We provide a day shelter for homeless and vulnerable people in Sheffield from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day. There are multiple volunteer roles available - all roles help towards making Christmas time positive for everyone.

What skills do I need?

This depends upon the type of volunteer role you are applying for, but all volunteers should have a caring nature, be non-judgemental and respectful, have good listening and communication skills, be reliable and have an ability to maintain confidentiality.

What will I gain?

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. The skills, enthusiasm and experience they bring are invaluable to us. We are exceptionally proud of our track record in volunteer retention and many of our volunteers have worked with us for a number of years.

Training and support

All volunteers are asked to attend a briefing day. All volunteers receive a training handbook, and support on the project from Shift and Project Leaders.

This is dependent upon the type of volunteering role.
