This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

We primarily support clients with substance misuse issues and homelessness. In this role volunteers will assist staff in running our day centre for vulnerable adults. Our clients have a range of issues from addiction and homelessness to social isolation.

Just the ability to get involved and chat to clients, be a working part of the team and bring your personality!

What will I gain?

A deeper understanding of the challenges faced by clients with multiple and debilitating issues. practical experience and a rewarding sense that you have helped some of the most marginalised and under represented people in Sheffield.

Optional short courses can be booked in relevant subjects such as drug and alcohol awareness and basic mental health awareness, also health and safety workshops etc. Trained staff are always on hand for support and advice.

Time commitment

Ideally one set day per week between 9:30 and 3:30. If courses don't allow for this we can be flexible. lunch is provided (please bring dietary needs to our attention!)
