Give Volunteering A Go! An events programme of one-off activities for you to get involved in your city. At each taster session you can try something new, see more of the city and gain new skills.

*Exam Time* Birley Spa Gardens

This opportunity takes place on 29 May 2022

Birley Spa is a hidden gem - a derelict Victorian plunge pool in its own wildlife-filled gardens. At this outdoor morning session, you will join the friendly volunteer group to help restore the site back to its former glory doing tasks like gardening, path clearing, and removing overgrowth. You will also learn about the site's history and see some wildlife! Everyone needs a study break - why not bust your stress in the lead up to and during exam time at a nature-filled volunteering activity! One-off (or more!) Session on Sunday 29th May, 10am - 12pm.

What skills do I need?

No specific skills required, but note it is an outdoor, active role. Sturdy footwear is essential. Please bring your own gloves.

What will I gain?

Supervision provided by an onsite supervisor, we look forward to welcoming new volunteers!
