Give Volunteering A Go! An events programme of one-off activities for you to get involved in your city. At each taster session you can try something new, see more of the city and gain new skills.

Christmas Fayre Volunteer at Whirlow Hall Farm

This opportunity takes place between 27 Nov 2021 and 28 Nov 2021

Get into the Christmas spirit as a volunteer at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust's Christmas Fayre on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November. The friendly team would love student volunteers to help out! Duties could include: Helping with activities for families such as biscuit decorating // Hanging Christmas wishes in the garden with The Grinch // Santa's grotto (costumes provided) // Manning a stall // Delivering drinks around the site to other volunteers. None of these areas require specific skill sets, just a smiling face and bubbly personality.

When you click on Register Your Interest, you will receive an email with a Google Form - please fill this in to let us know which session and time you wish to book onto.

Saturday 27th November Full Day 9.30am - 3pm / or Morning only 9.30am - 1pm / or  Afternoon only 11.45am - 3pm.

What skills do I need?

No specific skills, just a smiling face and bubbly personality! Willing to chat to families, children and other volunteers Wear sensible footwear and warm clothing as lots of the fayre is outside and we are on a farm! Christmas hats, jumpers etc are encouraged! Bring your own water bottle – hot drinks will be provided throughout the day but you will need to fill up your own water bottle

What will I gain?

Training and support

Induction and Supervision provided. Volunteers Briefing at 9.30am or 11.45am.
