We are a newly formed friends group in Whirlow Brook Park in South West Sheffield. We hope to restore the park in association with SCC. We are in need of volunteers and new ideas.

Volunteer Gardener 2021/22

This opportunity takes place until 31 Aug 2022

Volunteer at Whirlow Brook Park, with the friendly members of Friends of Whirlow Brook Park. Light or heavy gardening depending on ability. No previous experience necessary apart from basic gardening skills. Meet new people, gain skills and learn about trees, plants and flowers!

Sessions are first Saturday and third Monday of the month. Upcoming Workdays: see our website

What skills do I need?

Basic gardening skills or painting and DIY skills Lots of enthusiasm

What will I gain?

Knowledge of plants and trees - working in the community to help restore the park and gardens. Sense of well being Meet and work alongside friendly people
