River Champions

This opportunity takes place on 11 Jun 2021.

Help protect Sheffield's waterways for people and wildlife with the River Stewardship Company. On this bespoke Action Day you will litter pick and clear up a section of river, so that wildlife and nature can thrive. Our rivers can provide opportunities to learn, explore and connect with wonderful wildlife so let's protect them!

When you click on Apply, you will receive an email with a Google Form - please fill this in to let us know which session you wish to book onto.

What skills do I need?

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in! Please wear suitable clothing (for all weathers) and sturdy footwear that you don't mind getting muddy.

What will I gain?

You will visit a part of Sheffield you may not have been to before, meet other like-minded students and get a great feeling that you are looking after our urban wildlife and nature! Litter picking is really rewarding - it helps the environment, improves our surroundings, lifts our mood and helps others
