Join We Are Donors to help increase awareness of organ donation.
This opportunity is open to all students, not just medics! No experience is required, and all training is provided.
Volunteers will help educate students about organ donation by co-delivering virtual talks at local schools. The ultimate aim is to educate the pupils on what organ donation is, what it involves and the impact that the process and their decisions can have.
This is a great opportunity to get some teaching experience, earn a certificate and spread awareness of organ donation!
This project involves delivering talks to secondary schools, colleges and sixth forms across Sheffield. For semester one, these talks will be delivered remotely.
What skills do I need?
Reliability and good communication skills. Specific knowledge of organ donation regulations is not not required as this is covered during training, but interest in the topic is a plus!
What will I gain?
Experience in delivering online presentations, develop your communication skills, and the chance to meet like-minded people. You can also receive a We Are Donors volunteering certificate.
