Donations Centre and Retail volunteers 2020/21

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

Sign up to volunteer when our retail shops and donation centre reopen! We need support in particular at the shops in Broomhill (our vintage shop), Ecclesall Road and Crystal Peaks, and the donations centre. Support Sheffield's only hospice and volunteer your time for a fantastic cause. You could sort through donations, looking out for valuable items to be sold in vintage shops or on the ebay store, help at the newly reopening charity shops, or share your digital skills. All training and supervision is provided and the experience will be very rewarding! Apply here, check your university email inbox and follow the steps.

Come along to our online Volunteer Information Session on Monday 1st March. Whether you've volunteered before or are completely new to volunteering, this session has something for everyone, so come along, meet our friendly team and find out more!

Please note: our shops and donation centre are currently closed, but sign up to volunteer now and you can start volunteering in person when we can reopen! Our shops follow current Government Guidelines regarding COVID safety procedures, observing social distancing, hand sanitising and all our stock is quarantined at the DC, before being sorted there and sent back out to our shops as they require.

Donations Centre Volunteer

We have been able to create a number of exciting new volunteer roles to support the opening of our new Donation Centre, which will be the hub for donations and processing donated stock. Based in S4, we offer training and support to our volunteers, helping them to gain experience and references for job interviews. (Age 18+)

Retail Opportunities - in particular the shops in Broomhill (our vintage shop), Ecclesall Road, and Crystal Peaks.

Volunteering in our shops is a great way to gain work experience, make friends and contribute the community. Our retail volunteers provide us with vital support across our 14 charity shops in Sheffield, ensuring our shops are welcoming, tidy, and always freshly stocked with our fabulous donations.

There's plenty to do both on the shop floor and behind the scenes, so we've developed different roles to suit all kinds of personalities. Take a look at the opportunities on offer to find one to suit your interests!
