Community Connection Volunteer (Creatively connecting people)

This opportunity takes place between 13 Apr 2020 and 03 Jul 2020.

As a Community Connection Volunteer, you will help people who live on our estates and are in our scheme, to connect with their community, during Covid 19. Use technology or other safe methods of communication to connect our customers Reduce social isolation and loneliness Assist SYHA keyworkers in activities to staff


  • Able to provide DBS check (not essential dependent on role) 

  • Volunteer to read how to volunteer safely document 

  • Willing to carry out phone training provided by a member of the Volunteering team  

  • Capable of using technology if needed (e.g. iPads, Apps)

What skills do I need?

Confident in engaging customers in safe activities during Covid 19. We welcome creative applicants with fun ideas of how we can reduce loneliness and isolation with our customers, using technology or other safe alternatives for people socially isolating

What will I gain?

Experience with SYHA customers and staff.

Training and support

All relevent training will be proivded over the phone.
