Sustainability Evaluation Officer 2020

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date. Applications closed on 20 Feb.

This role would suit someone who is keen to get experience of environmental communications and events management, and sustainability issues.
  • Review mission statement and identify points we can measure - create simple SMART targets for each
  • Create structure for reporting on environmental and activation outputs of festival - a bit of desktop research on how others have done this e.g. Edinburgh Festival
  • Produce key points for publicity
  • You need to be: comfortable boiling the wonderful chaos of our events programme into tangible soundbites and real achievements, available for the whole weekend

You need to be comfortable boiling the wonderful chaos of our events programme into tangible soundbites and real achievements.

What will I gain?

A fun experience working behind the scenes and on the front line of a small friendly festival. Responsibility and experience which will be evident on your CV.

There will be some work pre-festival but it is essential that you are available for the whole weekend of the festival - Friday 20th March through to Sunday 22nd March.

Attend Events with Refugees & Asylum Seekers

ARISE aims to help refugees & asylum seekers feel welcome and safe in Sheffield in their accompanying project. The training session for new volunteers is on Weds 26 Feb, meeting at SU at 5.30pm (Training is 6-8pm in city centre)
