Volunteers will help deliver a variety of after school activities for local primary school children, such as Arts and Crafts, Sports, Reading Help, Games, and Homework support.
The sessions delivered at Zest are free, enabling children who may not otherwise have access to extracurricular activities to gain a wealth of fun experiences. Volunteer support is necessary and valued. Zest has supported many Student volunteers to gain valuable experience working in a community setting, and will provide volunteers with opportunities to develop a range of skills whilst still having lots of fun!
Zest has taken precautions to ensure a COVID secure environment for the Children, Parents and Volunteers. We have operated the face-to-face clubs intermittently over the past year and have gained experience in ensuring a safe environment. Full details will be provided upon application, but or practice centres around limited numbers, sanitising procedures and having separate waiting areas for parents to minimise the number of adults in the space. We also try to run activities outside as much as possible.
Volunteers who are fully vaccinated will be given priority for our face to face sessions.
