This opportunity takes place between 11 Sep 2019 and 30 Sep 2020.

Come join us on our weekly working day every Wednesday afternoon to help maintain our community plot. We provide an opportunity to learn about growing food whilst gaining hands on experience, meeting new people, getting some exercise and being in the outdoors

What will I gain?

You will learn about growing food whilst gaining hands on experience in sowing, growing and harvesting and maintaining an allotment. You will also meet new people, get some exercise and benefit from being in the outdoors.

Travel information

The 52 and 52a buses go from city centre/Wicker to Darnall. Get off when bus turns onto Handworth Road and walk up through High Hazels Park. There is also a train station in Darnall. Free parking is available

Attend Events with Refugees & Asylum Seekers

ARISE aims to help refugees & asylum seekers feel welcome and safe in Sheffield in their accompanying project. The training session for new volunteers is on Weds 26 Feb, meeting at SU at 5.30pm (Training is 6-8pm in city centre)
