We are a community allotment that welcomes volunteers to help create and maintain our beautiful plot, every Friday, 10am - 1pm

Allotment Volunteer 2020/21

This opportunity takes place between 11 Sep 2019 and 31 Aug 2021.

Come and join us on our weekly working day every Friday morning to help maintain our community plot. We provide an opportunity to learn about growing food whilst gaining hands on experience, meeting new people, getting some exercise and being in the outdoors

Please note: due to government guidelines, on site volunteers are currently limited to a maximum of 5 volunteers per session. You must apply and sign up before attending.

What skills do I need?

No skills necessary

What will I gain?

You will learn about growing food whilst gaining hands on experience in sowing, growing and harvesting and maintaining an allotment. You will also meet new people, get some exercise and benefit from being in the outdoors.

Training and support

Supervision and support will be available throughout the session

Time commitment

No commitment needed. Just come when you are able to

Travel information

The 52 and 52a buses go from city centre/Wicker to Darnall. Get off when bus turns onto Handworth Road and walk up through High Hazels Park. There is also a train station in Darnall. Free parking is available
