This is a great opportunity to make a difference to the lives of older people in our communities. Friendly Visiting involves volunteers visiting an elderly person on a regular basis and having a chat and a cup of tea and providing some welcome social contact.
Please note: due to current restrictions, this role is currently remote and befriending is done over the telephone. In the future when restrictions lift, you may be able to meet up with the older person you are matched with, if you wish.
What skills do I need?

There are also one-off opportunities to help out which can involve occasional emergency shopping, escorting someone to a hospital appointment, checking in on a person when they have been discharged from Hospital or helping to rearrange furniture to enable easier access in a property.
What will I gain?
