Get Active. Do Good. Have Fun! Take advantage of your Summer break and get involved in the local Sheffield community with our summer programme of volunteering and community engagement. There are lots of activities to take part in - all for a good cause!

Friendly Friday Hosts!

This opportunity takes place until 31 Aug 2019.

Sheffield Mind We are looking for people to assist with a weekly social group for people with mental health issues. We are looking for friendly and outgoing people who have good customer care/service skills, to help make our visitors feel safe and welcome. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting and and for serving drinks and light refreshments and generally assisting the group facilitator make sure that sessions run smoothly.

What skills do I need?

You will need to enjoy a chat as our services users do like to talk! We need people who are patient, polite and reliable and who are prepared to help with the setting up at the beginning and tidying down at the end of sessions. Please wear smart casual dress, no clothes with offensive slogans!

What will I gain?

Experience working in a community, supporting people who have mental health issues.

Training and support

You will be given basic induction and a staff member will be present throughout the session to advise and support

Fridays throughout the summer 12.30pm - 3.30pm
