Garden Party Volunteer at St Luke's Celebration of Life Event

This opportunity takes place until 21 Jul 2019.

Each year, St Luke's Hospice welcome our community to join us at our St Luke's Celebration of Life garden party which takes place at Clifford House, on Sunday 21st July 2019 1.15pm - 4.15pm By volunteering with us, you will be supporting the fantastic work of St Luke's Hospice; keeping us going and improving the level of care we offer to our patients and families. It is also an opportunity to join the St Luke's volunteer community, meet new people and develop new skills! As a Celebration of Life volunteer you'll be ensuring that all our guests have a fantastic experience at the event. We are looking for friendly team members who will act as great ambassadors for St Luke's. Volunteer roles on the day include: Meeting and greeting our guests, supporting the raffle, face painting, helping with arts and crafts, stewarding or serving refreshments. There is also the option to help with setting up or closing down activities. Each volunteer will receive a full briefing and a volunteer manager will be on hand to support you and answer any questions you may have.

What skills do I need?

No skills required, just be friendly and good ambassadors for St Luke's Hospice

What will I gain?

Support the fantastic work of St Luke's Hospice, join the St Luke's volunteer community, meet new people and develop new skills!

Training and support

You will get a full briefing. A volunteer manager will be there to support you and answer any questions you may have.

Join the Clubbing Crew!

Clubbing Crew project is for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and aims to improve the social interaction opportunities for the participating adults. Volunteers provide support so everyone enjoys a fun night out that they may not usually experience. Training Monday 21st Oct (6-8pm). Sign up in the Office

Volunteer with Older People, Guildford Grange

The Guildford Grange project combats loneliness and creates friendship through arts, crafts and games for older people in a local residential home. Training is Tuesday 22nd October 6pm. Sign up in the Volunteering Office

Help children on the Autistic spectrum with computer activities!

As a Computer Club volunteer you will provide one-to-one support to children and their siblings. Gain teaching experience and lots of skills! Training Saturday 26th October or 9th November. Sign up in the Volunteering Office
